Is This 1983 P Lincoln Memorial Cent Considered, Rim To Rim Die Crack?

    It seems to be connected all the way through. So rim to rim crack. It would also be known as a pre-cud.

    Retained Cud? Is this the Same? Didn't see it listed and I was Curious. Thanks for the help also!

    As none of that part of the die has yet to fall off and create a cud it is known as pre-cud. I think if the die was used till that part fell off a massive cud would be created, but there is nothing on http://cuds-on-coins.com/ you can see examples of retained cuds on that site.

    It’s two different cracks. Were it one rim-to-rim you’d see it through the pillar. It’s not cracked under the pillar. Both cracks come off the edges of the building where you commonly find these in these cheap zinc cents.

    Note how the bottom one shows through the base of the building. That’s how that crack would show through the pillar if it ran under the pillar.
