Ah gosh. There are other coin forums, e.g., PCGS, NGC, Coin Community. CONECA is the experts on coin errors, though. Google and you'll find all them.

The planchets for Lincoln cents are not made at the U.S.Mint.
If your coin has a plating issue it is not really a mint error, but only for the fact of the mint released it into the public, just like a unstruck planchet is.

Yeah, but not as great as here. The people are experienced and fun. :)
Would you working at a business send your customers to the competition? I don't think so. ;)

I was thinking that but the lost soul asked so I helped him out. Sometimes I'm just a pushover, and there's nothing anybody can do about it.

Its OK. Do you think I should get it graded and do you have an estimated price?

Does the zinc surface look original and have luster, or does it look grainy and dull.
If it looks original I would lean towards an error. If it looks grainy I would say it was dipped in a chemical solution to remove the copper plating.

It is shiny. Do you think it is worth grading?

Just be patient and wait. He was tagged so he’ll see this post and let you know. To me it looks like a Mint error and it’s missing part of the copper plating.

I am in the partially plated category. Technically a mint error. Better full size photos of the obverse and reverse would be extremely helpful.

See this E overlapping unobstructed into the plating? That means this ISN’T PMD but an incomplete copper plate.
