This is a wheat cent the exact size of a nickel and the thickness is the same as a wheat cent so don't think someone pressed this to make it bigger. Also looks like Lincoln is also partially on the reverse off center near the top. Soooooo once again I rely on the experts here to keep this old boy in line. Sorry but this coin is mangled and severely damaged made the size approximately to a nickel as you say.
