No the auction is an estate sale. They do very little research.

If I felt the price was right, I’d buy it. That simple. :)

Maybe double since it's better condition.

That’s the right price for me.

Its got far nicer patina than the Savoca horror coin, and Magistrate Θ instead of the far more common city ethnic ΣΙ. Probably $30 or so - its really quite nice.

edit: Coin ID is Warren Group 5.6i.

That is my top bid 35. Being slabbed is always worth a bit more to me also. I know some don't like it. But its worth an extra bit to me.

Hopefully you’ll be the winner in this suction. Best wishes.

I agree with @mikebell , this is a pretty nice coin. These dove / wreath bronzes from Sikyon published by Warren are very popular and can be very pricey if they have any kind of decent detail or patina at all. A lot of the nice ones on the market were actually published in her Numismatic Chronicle articles, and came from the BCD Collection.

Here's one of mine. BCD Pelonessos I 328.11 (this coin) = Warren 8A.13i (this coin illustrated). (Not particularly attractive, but it cost more than $35!)

Here is the rub. I hit the wrong key and bid 235 for it. I called the auction house and told them and got a reply that they would kick it up to the auction manager. Its been a week and my high bid is still 235. I will not pay that because it was a typeO and I contacted them well before the auction ends. They have no provision for a mistake by the bidder. I bought a rare Luger off them, but they had two about a year ago. I bid the high price on the wrong Luger. I contacted them and they removed the bid on the wrong item. I don't know why they have not here.

Call them again. You don’t want to be the high bidder above what you were will to pay originally. If by you take the bid at a higher price and decide you don’t want it they may cancel you from all future bids.

I did and was told it was kicked over to the auction manager. I did keep the email saying as much.

Yes, I know you did but you got no response so it never hurts to call or email again.

No I did again after I got the response to the second inquire. So if someone bids high on this and does not over bid my high bid its on them. They can do a second chance reach out. Its a local auction, they are not the best at communication.
