Would it fit in NGC storage box?

Yes. They are working on a box that will work with theirs plus NGC and PCGS slabs.

I got a pleasant surprise in the mail today. I haven't submitted a coin in a long time, so I didn't think I would get a "sample" slab. Feeling happy.

For what it's worth, my CAC sample slab does NOT fit in my NGC Box. Goes in about halfway, and friction keeps it from dropping all the way in. With enough force I could probably jam it in, but likely to crack the plastic on the box, as the sides really start to bow out and there is a ton of resistance. Not going to test it with my precious sample.

There are ICG samples made in editions of under 100 that sell for $15. On a good day.

An edition size of 5,000, this is the largest known single sample. There are probably that many original rattler dime samples, but those were made over 3-4 years.

Mine fit pretty well. I had to apply a little pressure for the last half inch, but I have some NGC slabs that are even tighter.

Well that answers my question if they fit in NGC box.

Is CAC still sending these sample slabs out? Have not gotten mine, been a member for years.

We don't know. They have new samples for the ANA Show aimed at the general population vs. existing customers. PA quarter vs VA.

Ultimately should be easy to find once the hype fades.

    5,000 VA quarter samples "Inaugural"

    2,500 PA quarter samples "ANA"

One of the inaugural went for $27.01 plus $4 shipping yesterday on eBay. I think there will be more opportunities in the same price range.

Yep. If I had paid $250 when they first hit fleaBay, I'd be slapping myself about now.

Someone on Instagram told me they sold one for $500. I haven’t checked eBay, but I’m guessing the prices are similar.

The last 5 sold for under $50, including a true auction at $27.01.

I wonder when their rollout of Classic material will be.

The coin itself is a CH BU probably not worth over a dollar. It’s nothing I would bid on - if buy any would be when they fully in the ball game with material (USA Classic) I would bid on. And then if not a deal for me, pass.
