Don't worry about it, you're doing fine. Some can get a bit jokey, myself included, after so many posts and are just having a bit of fun. Do the same when it comes your turn. That's why we are here, to enlighten and have some fun.

I saw both and I don't blame them. I couldn't follow it either. Your Willy Wonka reference made me almost spit out my coffee. Too funny for 5am heavy! :)

I have a couple sacagawea's with finger prints on them too.
But I'm sure it's from Abe .. it has to be because then it would be really valuable.

The Saca's seem to take fingerprints really easily for some reason.

The 'golden' dollar are fairly unique metal (Manganese brass) composition with the outer layer consisting of
    • 77% copper
    • 12% zinc
    • 7% manganese
    • 4% nickel
so it's certainly possibly this reacts differently to fingerprint oils than any other US coin. There is a patent (http://www.google.com/patents/US4226740) which includes Manganese dioxide in a 6% to 18% concentration as a fingerprint powder.
