We know you have trouble reading and/or comprehending what little you can make out, so perhaps it would be best to stay away from words you don't understand. It's very sad when all you do, perhaps because it's also the best you can do, is to claim others said something they have not. This isn't playing the victim, genius, but is a simple reality that you've shown to be fact and again and again.
You must be a frustrated old fellow PLAYING MR. POLICEMAN again. Too bad you can't keep this ignorant nonsense to yourself. I live in WHAT'S LEFT OF the "Land of the Free" in spit of the ignorant, uninformed, control freaks in both political parties. Mr. Moderator: I hop this does not cross the line in the rules...
I hear a lot of subtexts in these messages but I can't make out the underlying reasons for so much vitriol. I like the fantasy strkes. For example, I love the Standing Liberty quarter. To fully appreciate the design I would want all the detail present. But every mint state specimen is out of reach financially. I feel it's entirely consistent with my appreciation of the coin to get a fantasy version instead. It is really that or nothing at all. I am not complicating the issue with any other concerns, whether moral, philosophical, or personal. If I get one of these, it is to let me enjoy this hobby more deeply without any harm done to anyone. Maybe if folks focused on the relationship between themselves and the coins, the discussion might be calmer.
^^ This...how can one not like the following? Sure I would rather have a MS66 one, but for me I would rather spend that kind of money on my passion, this is the next best thing and to be honest I do not think I will loose money on it unless my Heirs do something stupid.
ANACS will "slab" anything that is listed in my catalog (http://www.moonlightmint.com/coin_catalog.htm) ... So long as it fits in their holder. Cupped pieces will generally not fit.
ICG has hand-cut some special holders for odd shape errors in the past and hey did not charge extra..
Yes, it is possible for them to cut the inside perimeter of the gasket so as to fit various items. But if the piece is bent or too thick to fit within the front and back planes of the holder, then it can't be "slabbed".
