A respectable Type coin. Not so easy to find, as some would think. There are some very nice "features" on this piece.

That rim action on the reverse from 9 to 12 almost looks more like a folded-over fin than a rim hit or jewelry-mount damage...?

I don’t think no jewelry lol. Her grandfather owned a gas station years ago so I’m assuming he got it from someone then and then tucked away.

 

Well that’s sure different from what your friend has. A nice Liberty Seated Half Dollar. Looks like some rim damage on the reverse though. So game it took a few hits.
