They are all common dates. Nice, honestly circulated examples of those dates. They would make great Dansco coins.
The Walking Liberty is a beautiful coin. They used to use half dollars when I was a kid, and some of these were in circulation.
Yes, my friend’s grandfather owned a gas station in the day when it was full service… cleaning windshield etc. I assume that’s how he got a few of the older coins and stashed them.
I believe that the Walking Liberty Half Dollar was the best designed and most practical coin among the "American Renaissance" pieces that were introduced in the nineteen - teens. The other coins were either too hard make or had a bad habit of losing their dates in circulation, like the Buffalo Nickel and the Standing Liberty Quarter.
No matter their condition, I love that design and keep everyone I can find or afford. What was your friend hoping to find by having you examine them? Just curious?
