Do you think I should tell them to send in for grading? They will be want to sell and I know collectors prefer graded.

Looks XF to me perhaps? Barber experts can call it better.
I can't tell if it's been cleaned, but if it's problem free, it's a $300 coin in TPG plastic.

They had this stored since, well her grandfather passed in 2005. Does not appeared to be cleaned but I’m no expert for sure. It does look in wonderful shape. Thank you.

I'm seeing it in VF and I like it and I think it will grade.

Thank you. I’m not sure if they would want to send in but I told them if they are selling, collectors prefer that. But to me, looks pretty dang good being that old. Lol.

Out of the coins you've posted, this appears to be the only one that would benefit from being professionally graded. Which means paying for a membership wouldn't be the way to go, but piggybacking off a coin dealer's submission would make sense.
But there may be coins you haven't posted yet.

How are these stored? I would get it into a 2x2 at the very least. But perhaps you just removed it to take photos.

They were in clear pockets into zip locked bags in a can lol. No I have not gone through and have not posted all. The ones that are not in flips etc. I’m individually sealing them and labeling them. Yes I do not think they would send in to grade. I told her to keep them but she said her kids were not interested. Pffft lol. I may have to wheel and deal! Lol! Would look really add to my very very small coin collections. Thank you!

The 1898-O Barber Half Dollar is a good one as only 874,000 were minted making it on the lower side. Definitely a VF and maybe as good as an XF.
This is the best one your friend has for all the ones you’ve posted. Not a semi-key date but it is harder to find than most of them. Put in a flip and hang on to it.

Take your time. What’s the rush? Lol Living in Louisiana the question of the day is always Can or wait until tomorrow? If the answer is yes then let it wait. Lol

At least they hung onto them for years before looking into selling them. Some people make the mistake of selling them right away.
