Peace dollars are such strikingly beautiful coins.... Is the mint doing these in the high relief?

I don't think so in uncirculated, but maybe the proofs will be.
I will say my images don't do the coin any justice, much better in hand.

 

Very nice. I didn't read the on sale eat 12:00 message and I missed it. I didn't move fast enough for the second round and missed that too.

 

Well I like my Peace of 2023, not the Morgan:

 

I was lucky enough to get the Peace Uncirculated. By the time I got around for the Morgan, it was gone.

 

Honestly if you were to have one, the Peace looks IMHO much better...

 

Where or how to get them?

I love Peace Dollars but I'm going to pass on the 2023 version. Not big on old designs being recycled on modern commemoratives.

 

I'm torn, myself. For the same reasons.

 

No, I looked but was not disappointed as the coin is nice. It looks essentially nearly exactly like the 2021 coin which I held up next to it - I almost took a photo but it showed exactly as I said in being essentially the same.
I think I perceive some of the feathers on the top of the eagle back to possibly be slightly more detailed than the 2021 piece.

I like the broken sword version myself.

 

I got mine yesterday, both the Peace and Morgan. I have to say I think they both look good, but the Peace is the better of the two. The 21s I have in 70 by PCGS, the 23s I am not going to get any certified. I really do think the finish on this years is better than the previous year so far.

 

Do tell. I could only see the minor change to which I referred.
