To quote Little Orphan Annie, "Oh, my goodness; oh, my goodness!" What an amazing array of prizes! Even though I recently was giving high praise to Franklin half-dollar coins, I'm going back to trying to get my first ancient. I would like Lot #1.

Grandkids recently found a stray kitten that they felt we should take care of. Tye Dye is already running the household and keeping the dogs in line.

 

Lot #5 really speaks to me. I am in the process of building a Box of 20 with each coin from a different country that I have visited. My wife and I spent time in Peru in 2014 - primarily in and around Cusco - and Peru was a highlight of our travels. Incredible people and incredible country!

(Mostly though, the eye appeal on this example is incredible!)

 

I want lot #1, because it would be the earliest Roman coin I have! Also, I'm a little partial to Claudius. I would post one of my uncleaned Roman coins, but I have hardly the time to clean and photograph them at this point. At least they have plenty of time to soak! Here's a little throwback:
My first Antonine Dynasty coin. All I need to complete it now is Nerva, Aelius, Marcus Aurelius and Commodus. Commodus is fortunately not too expensive (compared to Verus, anyway) and has some pretty cool reverse designs despite (or because of) his incompetence. I'd hoped to finish my informal write-up for Lucius Verus by the end of the school year, but I just started a new job as a cook so it'll have to wait. It's going to be fun!

 

I want in for lot #5, I have thought about wanting a slabbed world coin, and this is a slabbed older silver world coin with an error too!

I am very interested in Lot 3, the Roman silver, so I'll enter for that. I've been reading Gibbon's Decline and Fall lately, so I suppose it fits that theme.

I'm in. Coin number #1 would neatly fill the 0-100 AD slot in my Century collection. I'm starting at 600 BC and ending at 2000 AD. Currently I have 20 of the 28 coins required to complete the collection.
