Because nobody want's them? Look at Ebay, coin shows on TV, and all the internet coin dealers - they are all still trying to sell what they have!
Here ya go - 6 left!! http://www.ebay.com/itm/2016-W-MERC...400951?hash=item58da687577:g:sBgAAOSw5HJXKQcM
Mike Mezack of HSN infamy was on some infomercial last night trying to peddle them for $499. Graded SP70 by ANACS. Another coin show on every night has been trying to peddle them for weeks at the same price with a free 1945 Mercury thrown in.
Jesus I paid u.s. mint price and I feel like it should be worth more Sent from my C6740N using Tapatalk
I like that idea. Hopefully they'll offer a nice 3-coin display box as a separate item for those of us that already have the dime. That is, I don't want another dime just to get a nice box.
I want the edge lettered silver eagles. When's they happening? Not a clue, as the Mint is mum..........
/1/ Some of those 9K were returned as defective and can't (shouldn't) be resold. /2/ Some were cancelled before shipment and others were returns that are not defective. Everything I've read says the mint is trying to figure a fair way to sell them given the quick sellout and disappointed buyers the first time around. But if the market has cratered nobody will want them...
Possibly. I think they sold enough to probably cover their costs or close, but they definitely didn't fly off the shelves like they thought they would
