RPMs or Poorly Placed?

  1. These crooked mm's just seem poorly-placed to me. But maybe the 1985 is an RPM? Input is welcome...

    Copper plated zinc plachets could have weird looking mint marks. Not RPM's

    Brandon, …the replies above are very true, but there is something being left unsaid, and I’m gonna say it…

    When the decision was made to use zinc as a core for cents was the moment the Mint stopped caring about them. The results of the 1980’s Copper Plated Zinc production, across all 3 main Mints, are irrefutable. The Philly and Denver Mints never put out a worse product, IMO. And San Francisco had their share of problems.

    …and so, when it comes down to a wonky, distorted mint mark…well, the result speaks for itself…Spark
