I was going to vote, but I just couldn't bring myself to click on either option!

Perfect analogy for recent presidential elections :hilarious:

If you look on the reverse, you can see where the "United" has begun to wear into the rim. That is an indication of an overused die. Worn out die's also contribute to something called "finning"... That's just a little extra metal being squeezed out around the rim when struck. When it was new, that rim had a sharp edge. As it circulated, the sharp edge or finn wore down flat against the rim giving you that blob appearance around the rim of the coin.... A lot of words to say that it isn't particularly out of the norm... But a cool coin to begin a collection with.

    Welcome to Coin Talk @Lspence80.
A couple of things; First, it's worth 1¢, second, second, the poll question isn't necessary. It would help members here give you their best answers if you 1) posted your photos in Full Image, rather than thumbnail. and 2) be as specific as possible in asking your questions. Why would you believe it might be worth more than a cent?

You may have missed my posts for new members on posting photos, so I'll include it here and hope it helps.
For the best results, you should post "in focus," FULL IMAGE photos (after you upload your photo, two buttons appear: Thumbnail and Full Image, click Full Image and your photo appears full size on your post and are easily enlarged by clicking on it). Photograph coins on neutral backgrounds like black, grey, or white. Crop out superfluous background so just the coin shows (you can use https://www.remove.bg for free), and post photos with correct orientation so members don't have to turn their computer in some awkward fashion to view it properly. While it isn’t always necessary, it is nice to show both the obverse and reverse, even if your question is just about one side. Members can often give more valuable information having both sides to evaluate. Add close ups of areas you have questions about and make your questions as definitive as possible so we know what you are asking for. And try to have the best lighting possible to show the most favorable photo of the coin. Hope this helps in the future. Good luck.

This Cent was minted by a worn die. It also is a slight MAD or misaligned die. It’s only worth face value but welcome to CT.

    Suggestion..
Please choose the Error Coins or US Coins forum to create your thread and questions. First find out what you have and learn.. Worry about a premium last.

Most minor errors or issues have very little or no value at all :(

Don't be deceived by the nonsense of overpriced items on eBay or useless videos on YouTube about errors on coins.

The issue on your Cent is just Die Deterioration.
    Nothing major.

I'll say around 99.99% of them. Although the percentage might be higher.
