I am on day three (I think) of recovery from a particularly nasty onset of the virus. And being in isolation for five days seemed a good time to put a Mythbuster marathon on the TV. I just finished watching them destroy three perfectly harmless Morgan dollars by shooting them. Oh and they were quite proud that the dollars they were shooting were genuine….. Sure wish somebody would have turned them on to Beijing’s finest before they started shooting up coins.

Feel better Randy. I hate 'bugs' as I'm sure you are quite in agreement with me. As for those fako chinese rounds?

Ready on the right......ready on the left.....all ready on the firing line!

Laugh all you want guys. You took a coin worth a minimum of $30.00 and made it worth less than $20.00. That hole in the coin is a large one.

Wishing you a full recovery, and for it to never return. I understand this latest variation of the Covid virus is very easy to catch, and knocks you out. It seems that it will just keep adapting and changing, so it will live a long time.
I totally agree that they could/should have used a Chinese knock-off.

    Used to silhouette shoot 22lr.
If it ended up in a tie, we would have a tie breaker with the shooting of a dime.
Not a silver dime and most of the time the dime wasn't found after the match.

What metal are Chinese fakes made of? I still have my fake and still don't know what it is made of. 1688692442049286730408.jpg 1688692471920434360223.jpg

Probably Brass maybe copper if it doesn't stick to a magnet.
    If it sticks, then steel.
Copper more expensive than brass so...

What happened to the old Myth Busters? I remember a red headed guy nd a bald dude, nearing 50.
The search results have nearly wiped out the original crew.

Absolutely no appreciation or respect of the past generations. It's all about "them". Nothing else matters. It's what most of society has been turned into.

That was pretty much the era of Myth Busters I'm aware of and on seldom occasions have watched.

I am going to disagree - it is probably now worth a couple of hundred if it is authenticated to this specific episode of Mythbusters.

Magnet does not stick. Since it is worthless anyway, I am going to make a cut into the metal and see if it's copper or brass.

Oh the shame of doing that! Leave it as is. It’s a nice counterfeit collectible.

You know what works well is with a very small drill bit drill into the reeded edge of the coin.

YES! Less inconspicuous. Or you can just test it another way? Got a Hobby Metal Detector perhaps? That works sometimes as well.
