I recently purchased a 2009 Lincoln 12 coin set in original Gov holders just because it was cheap. When it arrived the four proofs were toned but I found what I believe to be a2009P-1DR-100 Formative Years LP2 extra thumb. I know there are tons of these errors/varieties sorry for poor pics but coin is in holder.
Are these found in mint sets very often? I'm not cracking it out because they aren't that big a deal and I have dozens of different 2009 varieties. I'm not down playing it by any means I keep even the slightest die clash I just don't want to break up the set.
It was a mint order. I was getting mint and proof sets for years. I've had this one for years and didn't know it. I would just throw them in the closet (unopened) with the rest of them. I only recently (within the past year) started opening them and going thru them. This one jumped out at me!
That's awesome. I don't have any mint sets unopened but I do have 100's of rolls of bank wrapped and mint wrapped BU solid dates put up for the grand kids to open and search for errors and such when they get older.
The proofs in the 12 piece set were toned, the DDR was on the '09P LP2. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
