You guys shouldn't have to apologize.......the 'culture' here abouts is quite notable and known.

While I come here for coins, I could care less if occasionally you want to throw in an image of your gun collection, vacuum cleaner collection, waffle maker collection, or whatever else you collect. And if you make one occasional detour from the topic, no big deal, as long as the main thread is not derailed.

We are here to have fun, ladies and gents. The last thing we need is a forum gestapo or a forum inquisition.

Sorry OP. That was 'snarky'. But we do have fun here and you need to learn that everything posted is intended in good nature. Go over to the US forums and ask the same question and see if you get boo'd off the stage..........

Ok, back to coins. I'm trying to hunt a sweet Edward I silver penny next. Ancients are addicting enough, the last thing I needed was a medieval addiction on top of that. Oh well, life is short, may as well collect now because I sure won't have any time for that 6 feet under.

I don't think people in the US forum would take kindly to the OP's thread getting in the way of their precious 900th thread on Morgan Dollars, or their 1500th thread on Lincoln cents. I wonder how they manage not to get borred collecting and talking about the same exact coins day after day.

I'm on my 26th ancient/medieval and I've yet to repeat a coin. Something tells me I could collect 700 ancient coins and never repeat the same type.

How about Elizabeth I? I got a little Medieval (not Dark Ages though) addiction recently...

Way to feed my addiction. You guys are enablers of the worst kind. :D

@Alegandron I just put Elizabeth I on my long term list. Those coins look sweet.

That's why you folks is most unique.......and why I keep coming back here, despite my obsession for US examples both modern and classic.
