Hi guys. I finally got a chance to go out to one of my frequent stops. I'm sure glad I did. I picked up a few gem's in the rough for $25.00 each.

Up first is a decent conditioned 1901-S Morgan, I was shocked when the dealer only asked $25.00 for it. It feels like an AU to me, but not sure where in the AU range it may fall. It seems to have pretty decent luster.

Then I asked to look through a couple of his uncirculated rolls of 1921 Morgan's. I usually never look at '21's bought I thought what the heck. I grabbed these two for $25.00 each.

    Nice pickups , I'd call the '01-S a 55 or maybe a 58.

You should always take the kids with you based on these. Well played!

Nice stuff! AU55 for the 1901-S, which ain't bad for $25! The others are nice for 1921s.

The kids usually pick out a foreign coin with an animal that they like. This trip, I bought a nice AU/Unc Series 1934 $5.00 bill and an uncirculated Series 1935E $1.00 silver certificate. Those are being put away along with other things that I buy for them later down the road.

Do me a favor and check the bottom 21 for wide reeds

No wide reeds here. I assume that is something I should keep an eye out for?

For 21p it's the first thing I look at in hand. And if it is a wide reed I pray for a D2 reverse lol! I was curious because of the beveled field above OF which can be indicative of a WR although I thought it was probably just an extention of the feeder finger mark above the wing & AM on this coin. No harm.in checking though ;)

Nice pickups for a few Andy's!

Thanks. It's something I will certainly be looking for. I need to go back to that dealer and check the remaining of the two BU rolls he had. Maybe I'll get lucky.
