Lol yea sorry about that! I'm not real sure how you crop it into a circle, but I did intend on cropping it before posting....but it slipped my mind! Thanks for the help Green! It looks much better! And thanks for the warm welcome there seems to be a few closed minded & bitter members here who have not been quite as hospitable as yourself! So thanks again!
We're a krusty bunch here, and like to shoot from the hip. No candy coating, but I think we should sometimes 'temper' our replies a bit. At any rate, take comments at face value and wear a tin hat.........
Ive got no issues in rolling with the punches, there's not much that offends me (except being called a numisbidiot).
Welcome to the forum. As for cropping into a circle I use a freeware program called Photoscape and it includes that feature in the cropping options. Just google it and you can download it for free although pay attention to the install because some of the downloads include annoying adware programs. Anyway, welcome to the mix and have fun... Paul Oh yeah, and in Photoscape you can combine your photos side by side like I did above. There are a few extensive (and very well done) posts by some members here on Cointalk with step-by-step howto do it instructions
A green bean is a second opinion: that the coin is strong for the grade. As far as making it more expensive goes, that depends upon how much more a buyer is willing to fork over. There are ridiculous examples of overpriced green stickered coins all over. At the same time, many can be had for little or no premium.
Now that's something I would be of no help with, since I only work with my photos on the hard drive or cloud drive of my laptop that's what I'm familiar with
View attachment 515823 Two reasons, the proportions of which I'm unable to ascertain: 1) The realities Doug so eloquently posts about are known to expert grader/collectors - people who are in it for the love of numismatics and want their MS65's to actually be MS65's - and are aware that so many dogs exist in 65 slabs that prices for good ones have been artificially held back due to inappropriate "commonality" by coins which don't deserve the grade. They'll pay more for real 65's, believing them worth the premium. 2) The same yahoos who cracked champagne when their dogs upgraded are now buying the Bean, not the coin, for even more than they paid for the slab. "Look, Harriet, this one's so covered with stickers you can barely see the coin. It's gotta be good!"
