I only had $133 in eBay bucks, but that means I only had to pay $32 for this Dansco 7070 type set. 25 cheap, but cool old coins and I got a rare and expensive album I've been looking for. Easy money! http://www.ebay.com/itm/142039314571?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
wow! good deal!... i have'nt even started looking yet, besides, 9 dollars and change is'nt gonna get me much...
Only got $18 and some change.... I'm thinking about buying my daughter some more mercs for her piggy bank.
Heh. This is the first quarter my eBay bucks have been back in the black since I got "negative bucks" for a Buyer Protection refund a year or two ago. (They used to sometimes let the Bucks awards slide when you got a BP refund, but they apparently closed that loophole. Makes sense, but that negative balance was a bit of a disincentive to go shopping...) Not sure what I'll do with my 13-odd dollars, but it probably won't be anything terribly thrilling.
I went on a spending spree a couple years back (personal crisis, long story, and many stupid purchases). I ended up getting a Texas Commemorative Half Dollar. It wasn't MS, but it was so beautiful and didn't cost me anything.
I guess my problem is that I don't see eBay Bucks as "free money", just an adjustment to the amount I'm spending. I factor it in when I'm looking at prices (so, for example, something listed in "Bullion" is effectively 2% more expensive than something listed in another "Coins" category). Counting it as free money on the expenditure side would be double-counting. I'm not much fun to shop with.
I didn't spend enough to get any eBay bucks this time around but I did make use of a $15 off $50 coupon they sent me. I bought the key coin for the modern proof half dollar commemorative series. The going rate for the 1996 soccer is $105 but I got it for $54.99 after using my coupon. I guess I got lucky because the coin looks tons better than the pictures the seller posted. My set is almost complete, I just need the 2011 army to complete it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/282067311778?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
I had about $63 in eBay Bucks - I've been putting together a proof set for my son (and another for my daughter), so I picked up a 2010-S PR70DCAM Yellowstone clad and a Yosemite clad quarter for him.
Well, the way I look at it, they don't have to offer the program at all. In that sense, it is free money. Lifetime I've used probably about $600 worth but lost most of it back to ebay on the selling side if the truth be told. I usually hover around 25 to $35 in ebay bucks per quarter. $28 this go around.
...07/02/2016 $215.27 eBay Bucks certificate issued... For the past few quarters I've been trying to buy something "cool" with my eBay bucks....things I wouldn't normally waste money on. And coins are NOT in that category, because I'm always happy to waste money on coins, lol! But this quarter, I parlayed those bucks into a purchase for my client who collects Circus memorabilia. I'll buy a few coins later, but this is what the bucks actually went towards: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ringling-Br...IfD20M884SjMvdh2j%2BE%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
