My main question is, does the color on the reverse help or hinder this cent? Die crack between the n and I in United heading into memorial . On obverse is that classic machine doubling in liberty
Questions 1 through 3. 1. I don't think so. 2. No,silly! That's the telephone wire. 3. Too blurry. Have a Great Weekend!!
You ask if it helps or hinders, as in value I presume. I think the color does not help, nor does the die crack. The obverse is struck with a Mis-aligned die. All these thing detract from it being a "choice" coin. JMO.
Die cracks to/from the edge to the Memorial building is a common place to happen, but doesn't add much above face value, in my opinion.
I missed the die crack earlier so that is nice. I like the color of the reverse so overall a nice find. I don’t think there’s extra value here but still nice.
SURE Dude! We had one of these. "Ma Bell". We actually had to rent it also for a small monthly fee. See, we even got screwed back then!
telephone wire? I thought that was a carrier pigeon landing zone ?? From the surface corrosion, one would think it's a zincoln and not copper.
