Yeah I love the reverse especially! As far as hole position goes, I understand what you mean, but having a hole in the head of Liberty and through QUAR. DOL. would also be a distraction.
Other coins, say early smaller coins with the hole "perfectly" centered is brutal on the reverse denomination area.

BTW I love that hat!! :)

Thank you, but I’ve sold this collection. I’m still working on a holey 19th century type set, but I have the copper-nickel Indian cent.

I know that "To each their own.", but drilling holes in a coin is beyond my comprehension. I admire your work and fortitude. I'm 75 and it's tough for me to spend too much time on coins, but I do.
I have an almost complete collection of IHCs, lacking the 1866. I have a tough time spending that much money on a old copper coin, although I have bought some in the past.
Keep up the good work and thanks.

AMEN! ;) You have great stuff! I love details coins, including holed coins, because it gives me a chance to touch history and rarity that would otherwise be beyond my reach.

I like the 1864-L. I have one I think but it is low grade. It is the coin out of the 2x2 1864LIHC.jpg
