Here's my latest pickup for my US Type Set; an 1869 Shield Nickel. Feedback and grade opinions are always welcome.

Nice coin the reverse is that of llc, the 4th reverse . You can tell by the star to letter placement . Notice the star under of.
The point of that star points to the left foot of the F. The star under the E in states points to the right foot of the E.
This is the reverse die includes (some 1869 and all 1870-1883 coins. I also noticed that the D and S are broken letters as well as the E in United has a missing serf.
The date shows signs of machine doubling still very cool looking effect ,nice die crack just above the date.
The stars on the reverse show little wear and obv. Show some lite rubs but plenty of details on the shield .
    Nice pick up.

Nice pickup. Personally I would put it in the AU range - slight rub, few hits and muted luster in the pictures. I don't know why, but for some reason I really like the broken letters on shield nickels. :)

None - but I keep searching. Both ebay and my favorite dealers. No luck on anything I find interesting.

I tried to take a photo with better lighting but without my two lamp setup, it was pretty hard.
