    What the important part is, that you like it! Will people critique? Good or bad! Their preference. You may not care for what others post which is fine too. I’m a Lincoln cent gal so I just love the “S”. Looks great to me!

    Welcome to Coin Talk @Kenjr.
    Not sure what you are seeing that caused you to take notice, other than an S mint mark. Your coin is battered and bruised from rough circulation. The edges took some serious damage, which is the first thing I noticed, and then the mint mark.

    That would be like me finding a 1912 cent when I started out collecting so I have to say it's cool for a new collector. Good catch in finding it!!

    BTW keep looking, that's how you find things. :)

    The San Francisco Mint was issuing cents for circulation back then. Large numbers of them went straight to collectors’ coin albums which made producing coins with the “S” mint mark a futile gesture.
