Which do you choose as your favorite? I like Vermont out of the bunch.

None, I was raised not to deface coins or currency.

 

I like all three of them but since I was born in Maryland, my favorite is Maryland.

 

And the correct terminology is a counter stamp. The strike is what created the coin itself and the words that were added are counter stamps. They were added after the coin was struck.

I don't "get" any of these references. There's a whole thread on this guy's counter stamps but I'm too lazy to look for it.

 

Vermont, with 23 letters, not counting the partial O, makes it most unusual.
