    Hi all,

Was hoping to get some specific information on this drachma. Date and reference number would be very helpful. Thank you for looking.

Nice coin. I believe it matches this type:

Here is the auction house's description with references:

"Kings of Thrace, Lysimachos AR Drachm. In the types of Alexander III of Macedon. 'Kolophon', 305–281 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin headdress / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left, holding sceptre; forepart of lion left above crescent in left field, pentagram below throne, ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ to right, ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ in exergue. Thompson 127; Price L28; Müller 20"

Seems close but no cigar. Some details are off.

You mean the tiny bagpipe between the eagle and Zeus' face? It's probably just a damage on the reverse die. Your drachm is Price L28, no doubt!

I don't think so. What details are you thinking of? I am not an expert on this coinage but I can't recall ever seeing or hearing of control marks placed up there between Zeus and the eagle, if that's what you are thinking. The mess around the eagle's head is most likely just die damage as @GinoLR pointed out.
