I am considering re-starting a periodical subscription. A number of years ago I had Coin World, but one day they just erased their collector inventory page without warning so I dropped them. I have no idea what their current product looks like. There is also the Numismatic News, but have no idea what their current product is like. too stupid to know how to do a poll, but would be interested in any feedback from people currently subscribing. I subscribe to both and more, I'm satisfied with them, great information. Good luck with your choices.
I forgot NN also has CT member Insider and RW Julian writing for them. That's a big plus. But Coin World has Joel Orosz writing for them and that is a big plus. Maybe that's why some people subscribe to both? I'm more into exonumia than coins. All I really need from coin pubs is the big news. The big drawing card for me and CW was always Bowers' Joy of Collecting. But he retired from it last year.
Here's one of Joel Orosz's CW articles: https://www.coinworld.com/news/us-coins/investment-book-authors-advice-was-not-so-good.html And something from Insider at NN from not too long ago: https://www.numismaticnews.net/us-coins/when-experts-disagree-on-authenticity And the Grand Master RW Julian at NN. https://www.numismaticnews.net/archive/seated-liberty-dollars
i've gotten coin world for about ten years now and really enjoy it but i switched to getting it weekly in a digital version to save money.the monthly version they still ship to me in magazine form and contains all of the prices of coins in it.
I have subscribed to Coin World for a very long time. It's the only weekly coin newspaper I get. I enjoy it because it's not filled up with the useless (to me) "How to Make Money with Coins" articles which bore me to no end.
