But hey dude that's cool see mine doesn't have to be like the million dollar Discovery I just want to have my name associated with hey I found that I did that That's all Even if nobody knows who the hell I am lol Even if nobody knows who the hell I am lol
Now that right there is totally cool You found a mule? You discovered one like it isn't that like the holy Grail of you know errors right there you know lol
Yep. It was with an official coronation jeton, not a coin, but it was a discovery piece. All of this is with world coins. I'm sure there are undiscovered pieces out there for US, but that's more like winning the lottery except for new minor variety discoveries of which there will be many. Most of the discoveries waiting to be found are in world coins. It's the area that will experience major growth in the coming years, especially for 50+ year old base metal coins like aluminum.
But who cares about world coins? Not being facetious, but a dramatic DDO like that one Brazilian coin sells for pennies on the dollar compared to a minor DDO on any American coin.
Many famous US collections were built when those coins sold for "pennies on the dollar". That's the best time to buy them. The US market is fully matured already. You need tens of millions of dollars to put together a world class collection. You can do that right now with world coins for tens of thousands, and those discoveries that have been mostly exhausted for US coins are in many cases still untapped. For me, this was an easy decision.
Exactly Laurie! It’s not what one may say, it’s HOW it is said! Just like in text messaging. But then there is the issue that some may just communicate in one way and that’s it. The ones that take the time to know someone’s feelings or how it’s confronted and sort of approaches it differently, those are members that care about people learning the hobby. Some people just right out have to or feel they have that power, no or you need to, blah blah. You ever heard that song? “I’ve Got The Power”! Lol! Again, it’s how one presents themselves. Do people take them wrong? Yep! It’s like a story of one of our tellers came in my office upset. Her cat had passed away. To her, that’s important. To others it is not but just as the cat lover may not care about what’s important to others. I go back and read threads of what people post. And I ask the “why?”. The pros and the newbies. I have felt odd at times to post, but if you like it or you have a question, yes post it. There are many members that like Lincoln’s as some like Ancient, world, etc. And some, just have to put their two cents in! I’m soft hearted but I also speak my peace which, wellll it can get me into trouble. But I’m nice about it! A person will be how they are. They just can’t help it I guess! The ignore button comes in handy as one can do the same for me.

[At this point in time and that's one reason to look for them, NOW! Short sighted folks lose. when I started collecting coin dealers were giving away type coin errors as junk and damaged coins that no one wanted!] ...compared to a minor DDO on any American coin." MOST OF THE COIN COLLECTORS IN THE WORLD! In fact, if you were in this hobby long enough you would realize that decades ago many major US dealers got on the "foreign" coin bandwagon. It is a more interesting and more historical segment of the coin hobby.
