Seller's images ..... I'm on the fence about how I personally would grade this coin. Given the images obv. & rev. What grade would you assigned this 1883 Morgan dollar . s-l1600-3.jpg s-l1600-4.jpg

I like the coin very much but it would be dependent on pricing

I don't know much about the series. The first thing that stuck out to me is all of the "chatter" on her face. That really detracts from the rest of the coin in my opinion. Other than that it is pretty nice :)

Those are called bag marks, due to the coin clanging against each other in the bags, very common to see, very rare to see one without.

Yes I am well aware of the bag marks and the chatter on her face. That said the fields on the obv. As well the rev. Really look nice. The coins tone is acceptable and other then the bag marks I this this coin "mid grade" has nice eye appeal . Later I will post the assigned grade and price point.

63+ Shot 64 if the obverse fields are "clean". NO HIGHER.

    EDIT: I'm pretending I work at a TPGS like PCGS. Personally, I'm a 63.

As for a grade, I'd probably give it a 63. The fields are nice but the face is a distraction and I wouldn't give it higher.

IMO, you are either a "cooked" duck or you are pretending to be a TP grader also, right?

65 but she doesn't have much eye appeal with all that acne.

Paddy, just go ahead and buy it and get a look at it in hand... what with the endless Buyer protections and eBay return policy they force on Sellers, if you dislike it upon arrival, you can clean your hands of it lickety-split!

    63 maybe 63+ but I don't see it will make it 64

Perhaps this is the reason people like me don't sell on Ebay. Too many :bigtears: who need the "crutch" of returns. Hurts everyone. IN MY WORLD any buyer with 2 returns would get a warning. Three and you're out for good. I'd be hard on sellers too. Unfortunately, IN MY WORLD Ebay would loose money and go out of business.

I hear ya'. I was actually trying to be facetious about their return policy.

Why? Reputable dealers allow returns. Not getting the gist of your speak.......
