Some of you have been following a couple of posts regarding the missing coin(s) that the USPS simply wrote off as missing. Well, an hour ago, I filed another official complain, with the contents and insurance information, and within an hour, I got this: Hello Albert Hall, Your item departed our DENVER CO NETWORK DISTRIBUTION CENTER origin facility on April 26, 2023 at 2:56 pm. The item is currently in transit to the destination. Reminder: This item requires a signature for delivery. If you can't sign in person, you can sign digitally with USPS Electronic Signature Online®(eSOL®), a feature available with our free Informed Delivery® service. Save Time: Apply your existing electronic signature now or enroll in eSOL via Informed Delivery. Other options: If you can't sign in person, you can authorize someone else to sign. Tracking Number: 9517711664723093216985 This is the package that I mailed to @lordmarcovan on April 3rd and I was told it was missing at my Great Falls distribution center. Wow, they not only found it, it is out for delivery! It pays to complain (properly). Rob, your package is on it's way. (I hope)
Big hiccup between April 7 & April 26. Did the package go on a bender? Did a few postal employees go on a bender? Glad to see that the package is on its' way to the intended destination.
So the postal inspector dug it out of the locker of shame? That's where all the NON deliverable mail that tests positive on the NON ferrous metal detector go after a brief stay in the lost and found cart.
I hope this is fact. Personally I would not sign electronically until @lordmarcovan has it in his hands. Just so they can't turn around and say that you signed for it already and him not get it. Imo
Might want to meet the postal delivery guy outside with a box cutter, check the contents before signing?
Box cutter for opening up the package before signing...not opening up the mail man, that wouldn't end well.
This is what likely happened. It got lost in a sorter somewhere. My package that was lost for 3 weeks was damaged. Id say got jammed in the sorting process. That's why I stress to always cover the entire envelope in tape.
I've opened packages at the post office in front of the mail lady before. If you sell on ebay and get returns you then have a witness of what's inside in case the person returned something in its place trying to scam you
This. Exactly this! I once had a package that I kept following up on for three weeks. About a month later, I got an apology call from my local postmaster that the package had fallen into the wrong bin next to the sorting machine. I'm glad your package finally was found!
So the pkg originated from Helena MT. on the 3rd of April and was delivered back to Helena on the 1st of May........something not right here? Way to go, PO.......
When I do get into town (still too much snow on the ground) I will retrieve the package and take it to my local Post Master to show them what happened. Maybe they will have some answers. Mind you, I haven't collected it yet, so it likely had the address unreadable, but the return address label still intact. Just a guess for now.
