Many years ago this coin put me on the path of building a matte proof Lincoln set. Wish I had bought the 1909 VDB back in those days. PCGS graded this one 20 something years ago.
Looks like a cut on the reverse and I'm not a fan of the spots. Still, it's a technical gem. These 1916s are the best engravings, too, in my opinion. Spectacular color.
I was thinking 64RB because of the spots, but PCGS looked past those because of the general eye appeal.
