That is what occurs when you place a coin on a railroad track and allow a train to pass over it. Not a mint error of any kind.

The elongation of the coin does seem to show that it was squeezed in a lateral motion. The marks on the coin suggest it was done on a well used rail. I would claim it as a Railroad token.

Wish that was true but some of the copper coating is still visible in the pictures,nice thought,you never know!!.
