If you do, when empty they make good little containers for sorting coins, little screws/nails/nuts/etc. Here is a good way to take off the label with no sharp instruments. fill the bottle about 1/2-3/4 full of water, fit the cap loosely, and put in the microwave. I use 30 seconds ( yours may vary) It is a small counter top MW. After it stops I use a knife edge to lift the edge of the label and it will peel off in one piece with little residue that can be cleaned with alcohol or acetone. Good for sorting cents, etc. Don't seal tight or fill to top , or run for a long time or the steam will cause problems!!! Kablooy!! Jim
Good tip for label removal. I also use this system to remove labels from mayonnaise jars that I use to sort and store nails, screws, nuts and bolts, etc.
I use them to store / sort coins and other small stuff all the time, very handy. As far as screws, nuts, bolts, nails, etc I switched to plastic peanut butter jars in leu of glass after having one fall. Nothing like sorting screws and broken glass. I found out how handy magnets can be but still find a tiny shard every once in a while.
My current pharmacy (CVS/Target) uses labels that are easy to remove intact. It's a nice bonus. They occasionally leave a spot or two of residue, but I can just pick that up with another part of the sticky side of the label.
