You are right, Bing. You have NOT aged! :)

It is funny, my mother is almost 80. I asked her how she feels hitting that age.

She said, "You know, when my mother hit 50, I thought she was an old woman. But, now that I am past that age; I realize, we ALWAYS think of ourselves as when we were 20 or so."

I will never forget that moment with her, and she is right: I always envision myself at that age, and always will. :D

Well okay, if this is going to be a Post Your Guns thread, I guess I'll play along.

(far far before the digital age...)

My parents generally shrugged and went along with my weird creative ideas. That's my dad posing for his part; Mom took the pictures.

I was only able to make two shotgun art paintings the first time because 1) I was discharging firearms in the city limits and 2) a large lizard crawled up the inside of my pants leg lodging at my crotch and causing me to 3) strip and run shrieking, while 4) the police drove by to investigate the shots fired.

Thereafter, I scheduled The Great Thanksgiving Shotgun Art Extravaganza. Mom, Dad, and I loaded up a van with firearms, various leftover paint, canvases, etc, and drove outside the city limits. 20 gauge shotgun, carbine rifle, luger, mauser. Good clean Texas fun :D

I really can't remember-- probably during my early undergrad years. Maybe 1981 or 1982? Definitely no later than ~1987.

One thing is for certain, based on his thread in the event of a zombie apocalypse we should all band together. I think we probably have enough guns and ammo to kill every last zombie.

I was just thinking the same thing. Looks like the ancients collectors could go to war if they had to.

No, but that looks like a blast! (pun intentional)

The video clip was interesting. Her mention of the different effects with paint bags vs. cans is definitely true.

During the Thanksgiving Extravaganza, I had some old cans of spray paint scavenged from our garage. For one painting I strung an aerosol can of paint from a tree branch. It was a breezy day and the string was long. Sighting the can was tough and the bullet only nicked the can's corner. That cause the paint to be expelled just like pressing on a nozzle. The pressure of release combined with its suspension cause it to spin around and around. As it spun, the string wound tighter and shortened. The result was a very boring "painting": nearly straight lines overlapping with each rotation of the spraying can... a solid block of color. The end result was bland but we were laughing very hard the whole time :).
