    The "d" is the abbreviation of denarius. It refers to the pre-decimal British penny.

    As for transportation tokens here in Germany, I have never seen any, neither plastic nor metal. Then again, public transport is a local thing, or regional at best ...

    Would my real 1888 Morgan Silver Dollar watch be considered exonumia, or is it just a watch? No need to post it if it's off topic.
