My daughter Brittany and me in Cabo San Lucas in 2009 . Brittany turns 30 in a couple of weeks and is excited whenever a new coin is acquired.

I recently decided to sell these 2 (non-Magna Graecia) coins, but she talked me out of it:

Your daughter is very pretty. Must take after her mother. :p And she was right in talking you out of selling those beautiful pieces.

On the wall behind me you can just see a framed drawing of Batman done for me by the legendary Neal Adams.

You have a nice little collection there. AK is fun to shoot. I use my SKS to deer hunt with. With the gun grabber politicians we has I won't post pics of my collection.
But I will do a selfie later. I'm hoping that a coin I bought about a week ago comes today so can get pic with it.

I was curious. Most women who are highly intelligent are gorgeous but for whatever reason they seem to not think so.
Everything I've read your responses, you've taught me a thing or 2 about these ancients. It's appreciated.

    Thanks, @Smojo.

I do believe though that real beauty is on the inside, and I find intelligent (and kind) people to be beautiful. That's one of the reasons I love it here on the Ancients board.

Biased, perhaps, but I find the type of people who collect ancient coins to be more intellectually curious, and therefore more interesting, than most folks.

    Good answer.
Ancients take a lot more research & a good memory also a lot of paying attention to the details. I've all but pushed my mods to the back of the safe for now. My mind changes directions a lot but I think it'll be a while before I get bored. I still have keys that I want to find. But I find these old ones are flexing part of my lil brain I haven't used in a while. It's fun, glad I have some of you to guide me along.

I look like I fall into the comic book convention world, which I attend alot of, not a coin convention.

I get alot of goto hell looks the few times I have attended Long Beach.

Wow, I didn't know that I was supposed to post a photo showing my gun prowess?!

    IMG_0531.JPG

Okay fine, my gun is merely a bee-bee air-revolver ... but it is a Smith & Wessen (kinda cool)

=> "and" I get to fire it in my own backyard!! (priceless)

Whooops, I forgot to post a coin

Everyone knows what I look like. It's late here in Aus, this is me with bed hair: image.jpeg

As for a coin, here is one of my very favourites- an Alexandrian drachm of Hadrian. If my funds weren't being diverted to the portrait series, I'd definitely be focusing on Alexandrian drachma. image.jpeg

If you had a tux on in that picture, you could almost pass for Daniel Craig as 007. You even captured the 007 posture.
