Wow!!! Talk about going down hill fast. There are these miraculous objects that were invented centuries ago that will help clear up all the doubling YOU are seeing. They are called glasses, you might want to try them. Also when you do get those glasses, please buy a dictionary and maybe do a little studying. We prefer to spell words completely and concisely so that we may convey our thoughts intelligently, ahhhhiiight....
@FM13 said: "I've done plenty of research." So, I stand corrected. Nevertheless, you may wish to go on the Internet anyway and look up: "How to take a micrograph."
Don't see anything on the image of the reverse, obverse images is out of focus. I'm with Cascade, I'm not seeing it. I will reserve comment on his other posts.
All I see is a worn 1917 D or S. I think it's an S but it's worn and my eyes are tired. Usually at this hour, after 11 hours at work, I see double. I'm not. I'm with everyone else. Please tell us what you see and where you see it. Cascade and Insider, I'll take option "B" for both of you.
There's "die doubling", where the features are doubled on the die. There's "machine doubling", where the coin is struck twice with a slight offset. That's considered damage. What you've pictured here, though, is "lens doubling", otherwise known as "not being able to hold the camera still long enough to take a clear shot".
I don't really see the doubling on the coin either. I suggest taking the picture and than zooming in a bit. Good luck with selling it
Oh boy. You leave a thread for a while and come back to this awesomeness. I hope the mods don't ban this guy. We need him around here for some good laughs now ever since @Insider stopped using 57 emojis per post Ps, don't you start with the emojis again insider!
Let's face it! Our list of emoticons sucks! The only conclusion I can reach is that CT was given a bribe to use them. Maybe @Insider wouldn't have to use so many if they were better. Chris
1- I don't see the doubling either. 2- I have a strong proclivity for correct usage of the English language (seriously, when you say, "I seen," I assume the next thing you say will NOT be, "a book"). 3- I love the ignore function.
FM, there is no doubling in my profile picture. Its an acid dipped coin. Seems you have a chip on your shoulder and here to do nothing but argue and try to stir up trouble. Good luck with your coin. I am sure your an Error Expert and have far more knowledge than I do. But I also venture to say that I have been involved in Error coins longer than you have been on this planet. Keep burning bridges, you will do great in life.
I don't see any doubling either. best solution is to provide us information of where the doubling is in order to educate us.
