I have a 1941 wheaty that has a small clip.(well partial clip) I say this because it still retains the clipped metal . Would this be worth anything. I really can't believe that it still has the small metal fragment attached after all these years.your thoughts
Unfortunately it's an impact, not a clip. The proof is in the angled metal displacement up and towards the inside of the obverse. A clip is by definition a nice clean vertical cut, given that the press involved is so overwhelmingly tougher than copper that it's capable of cutting the entire width of the feed sheet at once.

The term Clipped Planchet refers to an area of a blank planchet that is missing a part only because another complete blank planchet was punched from that area. So it would not leave any piece hanging as in your coin. Think about it
