$4 Gold Stella

This 4$ Gold Stella is coming up for auction on May 3-7 at Heritage. Graded PF67 with only 1 gra ded higher and only 425 minted. What do you think the hammer price will be?

First off, "Shut the front door"! Really, One of my "Bucket listers"!
I can only imagine the price. Big spenders on this one for sure.
I'm guessing around $500,000? Pocket change.

 

I have no idea but all I can say is everyone can dream!!the fact is turning it into reality.

 

Uptown coins have been breaking records for quite awhile.

 

I have one...well sort of

 

NGC price guide has it at $400,000. My guess is no sale.

 

The last one I found was in 2015 and it sold for $305,000.

 

I think it will go a little over $450,000.

I handled one last year in the same grade. Lovely coin and a bucket lister for me.

Yes, the $450,000 figure is probably close to what it will bring.

I question the grade because the coin looks cloudy from that photo. If it is cloudy, there is no way that it grades PR-67.

I just looked at the lot on the Heritage site I think that it is over graded.

 

I think they have a PR-66 in the same auction.

 

I think that will be more than I can afford but what a beauty!

 

If I had the money the 66 Cam in the same auction looks much better.
