I took these with my phone. Sorry about it being in the flip while I did it, but with my luck I just didnt want to take it out. Lol 20230406_044028.jpg 20230406_044025.jpg 20230406_043949.jpg 20230406_043933.jpg 20230406_044020.jpg 20230406_044017.jpg

    Bad luck?
What could possibly happen if you remove it?

It's a slight misaligned die strike and a bit of finned rim.

And the reverse? Looks like a proof.

Beautiful looking coin. I don’t see any reverse photos but I would make sure those staples are crimped down. If they are raised and you try to remove the coin it may scratch the coin.

    Happy Birthday Kristine!!

Oops! Sorry! And that she does. But she is just a Philly! Lol ghetto like me 20230406_130245.jpg 20230406_130243.jpg 20230406_130230.jpg 20230406_130236.jpg 20230406_130150.jpg

Kristine take another look at your coin. Notice the square wire rims. This is only an attribute if proof coins. In this instance the no MM is a proof coin and not a Philly.
Yours also looks to have a slight cameo appearance.

    it IS a proof coin.

Philadelphia minted them for a few years in the 50s and 60s. I don't remember the exact dates, sorry.

Yup, those staples need to be pinched down with pliers. I just had that feeling when I first replied.
