Not much from my latest nickel box. 1948-S and a 2009-D. The early decade count revealed six from the 40s and seven from the 50s.

Found 2 war nickels in the same roll a 1943p and a 1945 p. And then in my second box, found this beaut. Key date acquired. So stoked

And the very next roll, low mintage buffalo. Insane box

 

Way to go on that 50-D! That find is my goal also. Hasn’t happened yet but your find is proof enough for me!!!

 

It took a lot of boxes but they do exist! Sorry Rob if you ever see this. Poor dude still going through hundreds of boxes looking to find this lol

 

Found this Quarter while going through rolls. 1989D missing Clad and has a smooth edge.

 

Nope,it's just stained and the edge was ground down but still a quarter.

 

Not a missing clad. Sorry. When it has partial or total missing clad, it will be on one side, the copper will be shiny, and I think the edge will not be rusted.
You can always weigh it, as there is a discrepancy in weight with missing clad layer. Just appears to be environmental damage. A metal detecting find that was put back in circulation.

 

Wow! Nice to find a 1950-D. I guess you never know what you will find!

 

Yup! Hope this gives other nickel hunters some motivation. I've found pretty much anything you can find except a shield nickel lol

Disappointed with no silver, but can't win them all!

 

Some plusses and minuses with this one. GF got me 3 rolls. I kept an El Yunque. I had 13 shots at a W and only one of them had some kind of schmutz, or goo on it.
It's been a long drought, and I don't have this one, War in the Pacific, but it's the goo coin.
