Oh, I've had no shortage of good coin luck the past few weeks. I did have one come back questionable color though. Back to try again!
I believe it will, but for my money it's fine as is....you know my feelings on stickers.....they belong on bumpers not coins
Walkers are so hard to find with great toning. This one isn't a killer, but it was colorful enough to draw me in at $60.
The trueviews haven't uploaded yet, but I'm curious to see them when they come thru. I haven't taken closeups of this one yet, just these 2 pics in the slab.
Well, for $60 I'm really digging this puppy! It does appear to have the luster... I got $10 says it don't sticker, who wants in on the action? J/K mods don't ban me again plz
Eh, you can't really grade from Trueviews. They accent color and sometimes hits, but not luster or surface quality.
Heck, I think Johns original pics do tell a story......though I'd feel better if the files were a tad larger. Peter allows us to do so, so why not take advantage? Lovely so far from this vantage point........
What they do have is Phil's consistency of technique, and when you've seen enough of his work you can draw generalities from it. In conjunction with my knowledge of your technique - I've looked at almost every coin on your site over the last few months, and I have comparatives of one of your pieces/images and my own images/impressions of the same coin, so I know how your own work translates (pretty damn accurately) to reality - I think I'll be able to come up with a fairly informed opinion. Interpreting coin photography is easy. First, view a hundred thousand images....
IMO, reason received MS-64 is the loss of surface luster (rub) down the center of Liberty's body and strike on eagle's leg. Color gave it the big bump. Nice catch...I'm in the no CAC camp but a coin like this can go either way as we have already seen! Anyway, the "value grade" of this coin was MUCH MORE THAN $60 (as noted by PCGS). You should be grinning from-ear-to-ear over NGC's mistake (?).
