Got some change from the cashier at a snack bar. Once I saw what it was I went back and made her look at all of her quarters, no more. But this one is a beaut! IMG_7818.jpg IMG_7819.jpg

Very nice. I found one last year while visiting TN and got it from a cashier as well! Congrats to you!

I'm curious what the cashier's reaction was :hilarious:

So am I. You were lucky to get someone who was nice enough to do that for you.

So, I told her that it was a collectable coin, explained the mint mark to her and if there were anymore we could share them. I gave her a shiny Sacagawea Dollar as an incentive and she was very happy about that. Alas, there were no others. Luckily the shop was pretty empty, so we could talk.

That was nice you gave her the Dollar. Glad she was able to check. I don’t think the cashier would have looked when I found mine lol. Maybe I should have ask for some change for quarters. Lol! Congrats!

I cheated. I bought all of the "W" quarters from ebay, certified. I don't do enough cash business to find a quarter, let alone, a "W" quarter. The quarters i got were all 70's.

Mine is not a 70 and only Pam certified but I’m proud I found one. Visiting friends in TN. I hope it was ok to post Wizank.

Hope you did not mind I posted mine. Almost same story. Lol but I did not ask them to search. Very neat how you handled that. I did not quite realize it at first. Yours is very nice.

Pam, as one of your "teachers," I think you should start certifying them as: A+, A, A-, B+ etc. Do some "self slabbing," and you have a winner.

Found my second one in the wild this morning from a Casey’s. Only quarter I got today. I’ve turned so many of these over and today it hit. Sometimes I get 2020s that look fresh out of a roll but never a W. This one’s been circulating a while but it’s a winner.

It’s one of 2 million and that’s a low number. Congratulations on the find. :)

It's been nearly a year since I found my most recent W minted quarter. At the carwash in Wendover, Utah over the 4th Of July weekend last year and got it from the quarter machine.

I can see it now a slab in her favorite color
PCC and a gold star :D wouldn't hurt the resale.
    :p

My better half got a Tallgrass W in charge and I said you should flip this at the coin club meeting.
    She said what's it worth?
    I said Maybe $5/$15...It sold for $20.
