Have recently started trying the occasional box of nickels and have searched three and a half boxes now. Last night I did $150 worth of CWR and didn't find even a single silver or buffalo but did find my first key date. And look at that condition.

Are 38-D nickels worth having graded in that condition?

Ok, Finished 6 boxes of halves today. They were fun. Not sure if this will be the last CRH of the year or if I have one more week.
    4x90%ers (1 Ben, 3 Ken including a 64D reverse ender)
    23x40%ers
Ended up just shy of 5oz.

2001P Capital Visitor Center Commem Reverse Ender (only 99,157 minted)
2xEcuador 50 centavos (1 was an ender the other made me sad)
1x1965 British Caribbean Territories 2 cents

    Now for pictures :)

Dunno. I've never had a coin professionally graded.

You should avoid touching it though. I'd gently wipe it off and put it in a book or 2 × 2 sleeve. What a beaut!

Get your dirty paws off that. It's nice enough to ruin that way.

I have ruined a ton of gem coins by touching it before I relize what it is.

Well it is what it is. I still would be happy with the 90% you got. I still am looking for one!

I'm not complaining :) I will happily add another 5oz to my stack. Plus I didn't have a Ecuador 50 centavos in my foreign collection. Win/win.

Somehow I missed Furry's pictures until now. Congrats on the whole tube of 40%ers!

Thanks guys! Almost missed it when going through too cause it did not look like a 30's coin at all. touching it does that much damage though? Never knew that. Only explanation I have for how it was in that roll would be that someone found a shiny nickel on a desk or table, did't realize it was that old/rare and just threw it in a roll and went to the bank.

Was also a high grade '62 that could probably get full steps and a 2009 P in the box but that's nothing compared to the '38.

So I just opened a fresh box of cents. I have only opened five rolls qnd so far looks promising.
    Roll 1- zilch
    Roll 2- 1913
    Roll 3-1924s
    Roll 4-1944s
    Roll 5 is zilch
I hope this leads to a great box!

You usually are lacking quantity, but you definitely get quality coins where you are. I almost never get anything in the teens and twenties. Good Luck
