So recently I took a trip to ANACS' building and wanted to submit one coin to see if I liked it. So I went in they talked to me and actually took me back on a private "tour." They did a free rush order and let me slab it myself! It was a great experience especially using the ultrasonic welder. Turns out it is a PF 65 1958 90% silver proof Washington quarter. They also put a special message on it for me!

That is so cool of them!!! I'm pretty sure PCGS or NGC would never do something like that..

I know Right! They love young coin collectors. I got to talk with J.P. Martin! If you know who that is ;)

I have the ANA correspondence course for detecting counterfeit coins. It was made in the 1990s when ANACS was part of the ANA, and he is the main speaker in the videos.

I suppose winning the lottery would be a cooler experience, but there's not much else. :)

That.... is.... awesome. PCGS could learn something from their customer service.

I have several older ANACS soap bar holders which I love, and a few of the newer holders which to me look very art deco. If I were to choose between PCGS, NGC, and ANACS holders, without bias opinions about the different companies, I would choose the ANACS ones for their attractive appearance over the others which are more average looking. With ANACS, one can find a coin simply by looking down at the top while they,re in the box. If ANACS were more widely accepted by collectors, I would consider a crossover for my entire collection, but for the present, I will keep mixing up a hodge-podge of slabs as most others do. I think your new personel touch holder is a fine item and will do much for ANACS,s reputation in the future!

Thats just another reason why some collectors (myself included) actually prefer Anacs to the other 2.... I've seen more accurately graded slabs in Anacs holders than the other 2 in my brief collecting lifetime. As previously mentioned, when it come to Morgan Dollars they are top dog in attribution AND grading imho.

    Thanks for sharing!!

Just can't let this one go:

Hopefully a customer too. But at least the ANACS slabs will be well dressed...

    That is really cool.

By the way, PCGS and NGC also will give you a special label -- provided you bring them a hoard.
