They are, look them up in Breen. Were very cheap at one time now popular.

Nevermind, all the info is in the link.

I know that such coins existed, I was just wondering if these were authentic or knock-offs of the restrikes (China?)...BTW, what link?

You must have a better browser than me, my browser shows no link in the Craigslist posting.

Bashlow restrikes of the 60s popular and an affordable alternative. I've always hoped to own a Haseltine restrike

Yes, I believe you are correct. From what I have read and seen, the second restrikes were done in the 60's until the dies shattered. I have seen some of these over the years, and these look correct Kentucky, including the holder.

Ok, so then that's the slight. He says these are the 2nd restrikes, then proceeds to give a description of the 1st restrikes. Misdirection.

It also has mintages for restrikes near the bottom.

No he mentions the first restrikes by Haseltine but he clearly identifies these as being the second restrikes from transfer dies.

As far as I know the transfer dies never shattered, and I don't believe they even developed cracks.

You well could be right. Maybe I remember the cracked die as being on the transfer die, so they all show a crack.

I have a second restrike in silver. Thinking I have $75 in it.

If I remember correctly, the original dies were defaced with a chisel by Haseltine. Bashlow aquired the originals made transfer dies from those and struck coins from them, He then donated the dies to the Smithsonian.
