Seller went from video game stuff to suddenly "coins"... A Friend alerted my Group to this bad 1833 half dollar and "PCGS" slab: On-line cert had images and an auction archive- odd for the counterfeiters to use: Seller also had one of the bad 1875-CC half dollars and an 1893-CC Morgan with the common fake 1881-CC reverse: All have been reported and awarded the orange hoodie...
Thanks Jack. Great work as always. That one definitely looks C/F. Glad this seller is getting shut down.
How can he be happy when he is looking at fake and fraudulent slabs + coins so often? I'd find it difficult. It takes a special person to expose the idiocy....
Sadly, anyone with a credit card can buy these on Ali Baba for a few bucks and try to hit the big time on eBay. I don't see it getting better soon.
Please tell me the one on the right is the real one and not a fake. I've seen fake CACs, but nothing truly deceiving (at least deceiving me)... That one looks spot on.
LOL is right,i just realized all 3 are the same cert number and i agree with the right one being real. Are the counterfeiters just this Bain dead or just lazy about the cert numbers?.
Well, these don't have the PCGS stamp in the bottom corner of the slab like the real ones do. That is the first thing I check. But clearly, these fakers know who the PCGS slab suppliers are.
