I've been looking for one of these modern examples for my teaching set! I learned about this characteristic in the 1970's but the ones we saw were not so well developed.

Ok.. These are Lathe Rings I've also been looking for examples for my collection. Next quiz will show a part of a coin from my collection!
I have some of these on Washington quarters. And maybe have seen them on a few cents, but they are very weak.
I'm going to stay off your quizzes and like it when you let mine go a day or two before you give the correct answer.
I knew these were lathe rings. You never gave us much of a chance. Not having the bragging rights just made me go into a deep and dark depression of which I may never recover.
