We all do remember that finding silver is a diminishing game. With all of us pulling out all the silver we can (and many more people doing it for the past 50 years,) eventually there will be none left.

Ok guys my bank manager just told me the worst b.s ever. I was dumping coins and she came over and told me I can no longer dump a single coin in there machine and any other wells Fargo. I was not happy. I did however get some cool bank notes.

I'm in a tough place right now. I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to hunt again after this week.:(

They were about to send it all to be shredded. My very first silver certificate! It sucks they told me I can't come back.

I doubt that she's faxing your photo to every wells fargo. Try another branch.

I agree but no other branch in my area can take my bulk of coin. The only other wells fargo in my town is where I get halves from. I don't think they would like it if I brought the coins back and more. Thanks for the advice and any other help is appreciated.

Wells Fargo has a coin counting machine? Or are you referring to dumping as bringing back your rolled coins?

Coin counter. They also don't let anyone bring wrapped coins.

Well... you soured your spring. Have to spread out your dumps. <shrugs>

In my bank, there are no coin machines. Every coin I return has to be rerolled. And banks don't appreciate me bringing in more than 2 boxes to swap. Some wont swap at all, they'll only sell me a box if I order it and bring in bills. So... I try to never over use a branch. I drive around and use 6 different branches. That way I can keep myself in coins and only visit a branch occasionally.

It sucks, but that's that. Our hobby costs them time and money. We have to be cool about it. Always tell them thanks, and hey look at this coin you helped me find for my collection!

You are right! Now I need to be more careful where I dump my coins. I also do show them what I find because yes it makes them happy and want me to come back. They always like seeing my finds.

Ok guys so the bank I go to to get my coins has a teller that likes me. He said he had some old bills and coins at his house that he would trade me for. I went in today and was very happy to see what he had. This is what I got. I also messed up and left three dollars in halves at his counter. Ah well hope that does not put him too bad out of balance.

The quarters were dated 1960 and 1964d. They were both hole fillers and my first silver Washington quarters!:)

    Huzzah CT is back!
Finished a box of cents today.
My first IHC in about 6 months. 1890. Also, what looks like a clipped planchet on a 1919P. It is pretty worn though.

I'm thinking PMD. I don't think straight clips are common. Look for Blakesley effect.

Pulled this MAD cent out a bit ago from a box. I've pulled a few MAD coins before but never one this big.
